These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the rules and conditions for using Anaesthesia Vault’s websites (including anaesthesiavault.com and anaesthesia‑vault.flutterflow.app) and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Anaesthesia Vault is an educational platform that provides interlinked notes, flashcards, study planners and community features for anaesthetists. The Service is owned and operated by Dr Francois Uys. If you create an account or subscribe, you enter a contract with us.
By using the Service, you accept these Terms. We may update the Terms from time to time; any material changes will be communicated, and your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptanc. You may be required to click an “I agree” box (a clickwrap agreement) before using certain features.
To avoid misunderstanding, the Terms may contain defined terms. For example, “User” refers to any person accessing the Service; “Content” refers to notes, flashcards and other information we provide; “Subscription” refers to paid access to premium content. Clear definitions help prevent disputes.
We provide:
An online repository of anaesthetic notes and flashcards linked by topic;
Study‑planning tools and flashcards for exam preparation;
A community space for sharing insights and asking questions;
Subscription tiers with varying levels of access (e.g., free trial and paid membership); and
Customer support via email.
Descriptions of features may change. We aim to provide accurate and up‑to‑date information, but we do not guarantee that any particular content will remain available. We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service without liability.
The Service is intended for adults engaged in anaesthesia training or practice. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms.
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with others;
Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms;
Respect other users and refrain from posting defamatory, abusive or unlawful content;
Not share any information that identifies real patients or includes confidential medical records.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing cycles, accepted payment methods, currency and taxes are disclosed at checkout. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel. You may cancel at any time via your account settings, and access will continue until the end of the paid period. Refunds are granted only where required by law or at our discretion. We may change subscription fees by giving reasonable notice.
All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by Anaesthesia Vault or its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to access and use the Content for personal, non‑commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from our Content without permission. Third‑party materials appearing on the Service remain the property of their respective owners.
If you contribute comments, notes or other materials (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your contributions but grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and display the User Content in connection with the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not infringe third‑party rights or contain unlawful material. We reserve the right (but are not obligated) to remove any User Content that violates these Terms.
Our Privacy Policy (above) explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy by reference.
All content provided through Anaesthesia Vault is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. You agree that your use of the Service is at your own risk.
We provide the Service “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding accuracy, timeliness, completeness or suitability of the content for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including any decisions made based on the content. In jurisdictions that do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Anaesthesia Vault, its owners and staff harmless from any claims, damages and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content or your violation of these Terms.
hese Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us to seek informal resolution. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we discontinue the Service, or if required by law. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and discontinuing use of the Service. Upon termination, sections relating to intellectual property, medical disclaimer, limitation of liability and governing law will survive.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder will remain in effect.
